Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy !
1 cup cooked sausage
Combine the flour and baking powder together in a bowl and mix evenly. Cut in the shortening until you see small pea size balls in the mixture, then add in the buttermilk, mix quickly and then turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough lightly and roll out until 3/4 " thick. Cut out the biscuits and place on a lightly greased pan and cook at 450F for 12-15 minutes.
To make the gravy we used a packet of white gravy from the store, follow the directions on the back and add in 3/4 cup of cooked sausage.
